ribbit for her pleasure.
just tested a swatch for my pippi longstocking socks. it came out perfect 6.5 stitches/inch just like the recipe called for. that was my first ever try at a swatch. i'm using size 4 addi turbo circulars (2 pairs), the book "socks soar on two circulars" and reynolds lite lopi and cascade yarn #220. the lite lopi looked fuschia when i bought it but when i got it home it was red (darn, i hate red.) here's a pic:
i may take it back today and exchange it for fuschia. i frogged the swatch because i'm conservative (cheap). well, i mean come on, $62 for socks and hell ya i'm gonna frog the swatch.

I am sorry to have to tell you this, but listen: DO NOT KNIT SOCKS WITH THAT YARN! It will felt on you like mad.
Don't get me wrong- Lopi Lite is great yarn! But it won't withstand the rubbing against shoes or rugs or anything. It will felt almost immediately.
However, all is not lost! Socks are great- Lopi lite socks turn into excellent Fuzzy Feet! Just knit larger (MUCH larger) socks and purposely felt them. If you have one skein of Lopi/sock, then I think you'll be okay.
